About

Hello Everyone,

I’m Andrew Baze, and I made this site for two main reasons:

  1. To get more young people involved in ham radio.  Getting a Technician license isn’t difficult, and there are many low-cost hand-held radios available nowadays.  There is a fascinating, high-tech world of radio available to kids as well as adults, but most kids have no idea about the interesting possiblities that exist!  I want to change that.
  2. To provide a resource for people interested in ham radio to find the literature they need.

So how do we get young people interested?  Unless they’re budding engineers, and already reading books on… ahem… electrical theory, I suggest… fiction!  Yes, there is a world of fiction out there, and it seldom crosses paths with the world of ham radio.  But no longer.  Get ready for a novel that has ham radio at its center.  Not only is it possible, it’s interesting, and uses practical, real-life examples to prove that ham radio is a fascinating hobby for many reasons.

This story will show that ham radio is actually interesting for any age!  It’s not just for engineers, but for kids, any average person interested in emergency communications, as a fun hobby, as a low-cost way to communicate with your family, and more!
